Finally, thanks to fresh social distancing guidelines from the government, we are planning to return to filming The Tax Fraud of the Century at the end of this month. Myself, bosses from Manchester F1 Productions and the whole cast and crew are excited to be finally returning to filming for the much awaited fraud movie. I can also confirm Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the United Kingdom for filming, after returning home according to the government’s lockdown guidance. However, with the government currently reviewing quarantine measures for all international arrivals, it is unclear when exactly they will be arriving and when they will be available for filming.

Manchester F1 Productions Fraud Movie Statement

An official spokesperson from Manchester F1 Productions recently appeared on the film company’s live Instagram feed to issue the following statement: “Since lead actor Rod Bond was taken ill after contracting coronavirus, filming for the fraud movie has all but stopped. Thereafter, we were hit by the strict lockdown during which we were further prevented from filming. Furthermore, despite hoping to complete most of the filming under social distancing guidelines, we were prevented from doing so by government advice. However, at long last, we plan to provisionally return to filming at the end of this month.”

The Tax Fraud of the Century

Following on from the BBC One documentary series Rod Bond: Tax Fraud and HMRC, the fraud movie will recount the scams operated by Manchester-based fraudsters One Formula Projects LLP. Starring Rod Bond as an independent fraud investigator, the movie will offer glimpses into the fraud empire operated by the shady Manchester finance firm. Originally set for release around Christmas, delays to the filming schedule have pushed back the release date. Neither Manchester F1 Productions nor Rod Bond have been able to confirm the revised release date.
